Anna L. Shock, age 88, former resident of 40 Park Village, Shelby died Saturday, December 27, 2003 in Gables at Green Pastures in Marysville.

Born May 17, 1915 in Venice Twp., Seneca Co., Ohio to Delbert E. and Orlena (Bollinger) Schaaf she had been a Shelby resident for 50 years moving to Marysville in 1998. Mrs. Shock was a former employee of the Shelby Business Forms retiring after 21 years of service. She was a member of the First United Church of Christ where she belonged to the Cirlcle of Faith and Womens Guild, and, through the church, volunteered at the Fairhaven Nursing Home in Upper Sandusky. She also was a 50 year member of the Union Grange in Shelby, and for the past five years attended the Marysville Church of the Nazarene and was an active member of the Widows Support Group of the church.

During her life, Anna enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens, quilting, crocheting, sewing and canning vegetables.

Survivors include two daughters & sons-in-law; Margaret and Tom Burkhart; Dorothy and James Trease, all of Marysville; five grandchildren, Lisa Kolakowski, Allen Burkhart, Scott Burkhart, Matthew Trease, and Rachel Sheridan; three great grandchildren; Kimberly and Samantha Kolakowski and Corban Sheridan; two sisters; Clara Schaaf of Bucyrus; and Blanche Shock of Attica; nieces, nephews and other relatives. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marlin Raymond Shock in 1981; and one sister, Ruth Heefner.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, Jan. 3, 2004, from the Barkdull Funeral Home in Shelby. Rev. Melvin Smitley will officiate with interment in Oakland Cemetery.
