Andrew R. "Buddah" Wilcox, age 36, of Shelby died unexpectedly Wednesday September 21, 2016 at his home. 

Born November 8, 1979 in Mansfield to Christopher & Barbara (VanWagner) Wilcox, he has been a Shelby resident his entire life. He was a 1998 graduate of Shelby High School and Pioneer Career and Technology Center in Computer Business Technology. Andrew worked at Startek in the tech support department and enjoyed video gaming and was very tech savvy. He was also a member of the 1st Church of God in Shelby.
Andrew loved his son as well as his nieces and nephews and was a big kid himself. Most of all, he had cherished the time spent at a family members pond or the park to fish with Holdan.

He is survived by parents; son, Holdan Ray Wilcox; Holdan's mother, Brittany Wilcox and sister and brother-in-law, Stacey (Arick) Burkepile of Fort Campbell, Kentucky; paternal grandmother, Beverly Wilcox and maternal grandmother Dorylen VanWagner.  

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Robert L. Wilcox; maternal grandfather, William L. VanWagner; nephew, Landan Burkepile; cousin, Jeremy Ammons and Uncle William L. VanWagner II.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 AM Tuesday September 27, 2016 at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory. Pastor George Johnson will officiate with interment held in Maple Grove Cemetery, New Haven. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 4-7 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to his son Holdan Wilcox in care of Andrews' parents, Chris and Barb Wilcox.
