Beatrice Marie Johnson

Beatrice M. "Bea"  Johnson, age 96, resident of Shelby died on November 25, 2017 at Crestwood Care Center surrounded by her loving family.

Born August 20, 1921 in Milan, Ohio to John and Frances (Meyer) Reinweiler, she was a Shelby resident the majority of her life. Mrs. Johnson worked at Kyle's and the Young Timer's Shop in Shelby, retiring from Shelby Mutual in 1983. She was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. She loved playing cards, baking, watching baseball, especially when the Cleveland Indians were playing. Bea also loved to gab with her friends and her greatest joy was spending time with her family. 

Bea is survived by son Michael L. Johnson of North Canton; daughters Linda (Jim) McBride and Laurie (Dick) Parrish both of Shelby; grandchildren, Lisa (Kevin) Noel, Mark (Laura) McBride, Andrea Johnson, Zach Johnson, Ben (Jessica) Johnson, Katie (CJ) Poole, Molly (Israel) Martin; step-grandchildren, Tim Johnson, Gary (Tammy) Johnson, Terri (Denny) Hummel; 9 great-grandchildren, numerous step-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Raymond Johnson, whom she wed May 6, 1944; granddaughter, Abby Parrish; step-granddaughter, Jackie Johnson; step-great grandson, Scott Johnson; brother, Reverend George Reinweiler; sisters, Elsie Reinweiler and Eleanor (Bob) Schwable; 2 step-sons Dean (Betty) Johnson, Gene (Margaret) Johnson; daughter-in-law, Lynne Johnson; brother-in-laws, Clarence, John, and Charles Johnson; sister-in-laws, Mary Engle and Florence Thompson.

Funeral Mass will be recited 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at the Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Shelby. Father Chris Mileski and Father John Missler will officiate with interment in the Oakland Cemetery. Friends may call at Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory in Shelby, Tuesday from 5:00-7:00 PM.
