Betty R Reith

Betty Ruth Reith, age 87, died Monday, August 21, 2017 in West Salem, Ohio. 

Born July 9, 1930 in Neveda, OH to David Johns and Martha Pearl (Klahn), she had been a Shelby area resident since 1952.  A homemaker, Betty was a member of the Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church, were she helped in the alter rosary society.  

She loved to sew, making beautiful Christmas tree skirts and working in the garden.

She is survived by four sons, Frederick A. (Marilyn) Reith of West Salem, Frank A. (Nellie) Reith and John A. (Karen) Reith all of Shelby and Bob (Tressa) Reith of Crestline; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert E. Reith in 1991 and infant daughter, Linda.

A funeral mass will be held 10:30 AM Thursday, August 24, 2017 at the Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Shelby. Father Chris Mileski will officiate with internment held in Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory Wednesday from 3:00 to 5:00 PM and from 7:00 to 9:00 PM
