Carson E. Nazor

Carson E. Nazor, age 63, resident of Shelby died Saturday morning April 15, 2017 at Crestwood Care Center in Shelby. 

Born January 27, 1954 in Shelby to Carl E. and Donna Mae Briggs, he had been a Shelby resident the majority of his life. A 1972 graduate of Shelby High School, he had been employed as a truck driver for many years with CRST Trucking and for the past ten years drove for Hartland Trucking.

Carson was an avid reader and sports fan following the Cleveland Indians, Cavaliers, Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes and Columbus Bluejackets.  He enjoyed feeding and watching the birds in his back yard and loved spending time at Lake Erie with his family. 

He is survived by his mother, Donna M. Nazor of Mansfield, three brothers Curtis E. Nazor of Old Town, Fla.; Calvin E. Nazor of Shelby and Camron E. Nazor of Great Barrington, Massachusetts; one sister Carlisa R. VanAuker of Ontario, good friend, Tate Moyer; nieces, nephews and other relatives. 

He was preceded in death by his father Carl E. Nazor and one sister Carla M. Dysert and grandparents, Earl H. Briggs and Rilla M. Briggs (Roberts). 

Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM Wednesday, April 19, 2017 from the Barkdull Funeral Home and Crematory. Rev. Walter Keib of the First Baptist Church will officiate with interment in Oakland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from  6-8 PM. Memorial expressions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
