Charlotte Jane Chew

Charlotte Jane Chew, age 71, of Shelby died Friday, November 20, 2015 in the care of hospice at Ohio Health Mansfield.

Born August 20, 1944 in Shelby Ohio to Leo and Irene (Wheeler) Kurtzman, she has been a Shelby resident her entire life. Charlotte was a 1962 graduate of Shelby High School and had worked at AMF and in the janitorial department for the Shelby City Schools.

She was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Shelby and loved spending time with her friends at McDonalds.

Survivors include one daughter, Stacy Chew of Shelby and one son, Phillip (Sandy) Chew II of Lucasville, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Phillip Chew in 1999 and a twin brother, Joseph Kurtzman, sister Helen Marie and brother Earl Leo.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday November 25, 2015 at the Barkdull Funeral Home in Shelby. Reverend Daniel Orr will officiate with internment held in Oakland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Memorial expressions may be made to St Marks Episcopal Church in Shelby.
