Christopher "Pete" L. Ramsey

Christopher L. "Pete" Ramsey, age 55, of Shelby died Friday evening October 2, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born July 6, 1960 in Shelby to James & Rita (Young) Ramsey, Pete was a Shelby resident his entire life. He was a 1978 graduate of Shelby High School and had formerly worked for Excel Inc. for 30 years. Pete was a member of the Shelby Owl's Club and was an avid sports fan who loved The Ohio State Buckeyes, the Cleveland Browns, watching baseball and gardening. Most of all Pete was a very dedicated family man, who loved his wife, kids, grandkids and brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Allyson (Bailey) Ramsey, whom he married July 7, 1989; son, Glenn Bond of Shelby; daughter, Ashley (Josh) Enright; Grandchildren, Landon, Halle, Jaxon, Carter, Amiya, Lyla and grandson on the way, Christopher Lee; three brothers, Bob (Sandy) Ramsey, Dennis Ramsey and Gary (Donna) Ramsey all of Shelby; mother & father-in-law, Ace & Nancy Bailey; brother-in-law, David Bailey; sister-in-law, Melissa & Mark Wilson and nephews, Jeff & Jennifer Yates, Roger & Sara Endicott, Scott & Hali Ramsey and Brandon Bond.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday October 7, 2015 at the Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Father James Sanford will officiate with interment held in Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at Barkdull Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM, where the rosary will be recited at 7:45 PM. Memorial expressions may be made to the Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church or to Hospice of North Central Ohio.
