Daniel Lee Bowman

We celebrate the life and mourn the loss of Daniel Lee Bowman. Age 41, died at home Friday September 22, 2017. 
Born March 9, 1976 in Shelby to Marvin Bowman and Patty Cravens, he has been a Shelby resident the majority of his life. A graduate of Shelby High School class of 1994, Daniel had worked for the last 20 years as a lineman/cable splicer. He was a member of the Church of God, and loved being with his family and children especially his new granddaughter. Daniel enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, attending festivals and playing the djembe drum. 
He is survived by his two children, Ashley Bowman and Austin Bowman of Mansfield and their mother, Jessica Bowman; his mother and step-father, Philip & Patty Cravens; granddaughter, Bexley Bowman; two sisters, Heather (Brian) Burrer of Plymouth and Rebecca Bowman of Johnstown, OH; three nieces, Kya, Kaylee and Kensley and nephew, Jarrett and his maternal grandfather, John Scherer.
He was preceded in death by his father, paternal grandparents, Ed and Goldie Bowman and maternal grandmother, Doris Scherer.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 28, 2017 at the Church of God, 4062 London West Rd. Shelby. Pastor Rick Lewis will officiate with interment held in Oakland Cemetery. Friends may call at Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory on Wednesday from 5-9 PM. Memorial expressions may be made to his children.
