Doris A. King, age 90, resident of Shelby, died Monday September 11, 2017 at Crestwood Care Center.
Born February 4, 1927 in Woodsfield, Ohio to Thomas R. and Mildred I. (Dressler) Emery, she had been a Shelby resident since 1958. Doris had been employed with various Shelby retail stores, including Big Plus and Fisher Big Wheel.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Robin Boice and Garry and Teresa Boice, all of Shelby; four
grandchildren; Randy (Patty) Boice and Angie (Ken) Greter, all of Shelby and Heather (Chris) Boice-Ivy and Steve (Alex) Boice, all of Colorado; three great-grandchildren, Rob Lash, Abbie Roberts and Benjamin Ivy; 4 great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Raymond Emery of Ashland, Jim Emery of Batesville, Ohio and Larry Emery of Woodsfield; two sisters, Eldra Smalley of Mansfield and Sue (Jim) Williams of Woodsfield; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ward King; an infant daughter, Sandra; two brothers, John and Orlan Emery.
Graveside services will be held 1:00PM Thursday September 14, 2017 in Oaklawn Cemetery, Woodsfield, Ohio. Pastor T.J. Milam will officiate. Friends may call at the Barkdull Funeral Home in Shelby Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Memorial expressions may be made to Crestwood Care Center activities fund, 225 W. Main St. Shelby, Ohio.
