Emma J. Booth

Emma J. Booth, age 68, died Tuesday July 14, 2015 at McCauley Center in Urbana, Ohio following a lengthy battle with MS.  
Born April 6, 1947 in Shelby, Ohio to John Edward and Helen M. (Brown) Petersen she had been a former Shelby resident. Emma was the former owner/operator of Emma's Tanning Booth in Springfield, Ohio. She enjoyed ceramics.

She is survived by her children; Angela R. (Timothy) Knowles of Urbana and John E. Booth of  Springfield; seven grandchildren, Ryan L. Booth, Jimmy E. Knowles, Marsha A. Nelson, Regina Stevens, Dillon Booth, Victoria Booth and John A. Booth; four great grandchildren; her mother Helen M. Petersen of Fairborn, Ohio; three sisters, Jennie M. (Emmett) LeMaster of Fairborn,  Lois L. (Dana) Gall of Englewood, Fla. and Kim A. (Michael) Watson of South Charlestown, Ohio; brother-in-law, Jerome Henderson of Springfield and many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her father John E. Petersen in 2004, her son George W. Booth in 2014 and sister Marcia L. Henderson in 2014. 

Funeral services will be held Friday July17, 2015 at 1:00 PM the Barkdull Funeral Home in Shelby. Rev. Steven Schag will officiate with interment held in Maple Grove Cemetery, New Haven. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00-1:00 PM.
