Eugene R Fry

Eugene R. Fry, age 80, resident of Shelby died Sunday July 10, 2016 at his residence. Born March 10, 1936 in Shelby to Francis and Eleanor (Kimmel) Fry, he was a lifelong Shelby resident.  He had attended Shelby High School and had worked for many years as a carpenter. He was a member of the Carpenters Local #735 for 52 years. 

Eugene enjoyed hunting, watching racing and football and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Surviving is his wife of 58 years, Janet (Lovejoy) Fry; his children, Peggy (Todd) Oaks of Highland Town Lake, OH, LeaAnn Hobbs of Abingdon, IL, Penny Fry of Shelby and Emery and Lori Fry of Galion; nine grandchildren; two step-granddaughters;  16 great grandchildren and one on the way; one step-great-great granddaughter; three brothers Donald (Janet) Fry of Shelby, Carl and Maria Fry of Defiance, OH and Jim Fry of Canal Fulton, OH.; nieces, nephews and other relatives. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Dorothy Fry Kelly. 

A celebration of Eugene's life will be held Friday July 15, 2015 at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory from 5- 7 P.M. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial expressions be made to MedCentral Hospice, 335 Glessner Ave. Mansfield, OH 44903.
