Mary E. Caskey

Mary E. Caskey, age 74 resident of Shelby, died Friday, December 29, 2017 at Ohio Health Hospital in Mansfield. 

Born July 14, 1943 in Willard to Paul and Alice (Eckstein) Rohrbaugh, she had been a Shelby resident since 1964.

Mary was a very devoted Christian. Her passion was volunteering for her church, the Diamond Hill Cathedral in Mansfield's Bible Walk as a tour guide.  She enjoyed her sports cars especially her Falcon Convertible. Above all she loved her children and grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her sons, Timothy (Teresa) Caskey and Christopher (Robin) Caskey both of Shelby; six grandchildren Tyler (Sam) Caskey of Mansfield, James (Katie) Robinson of Shelby, Kristen (Tyler) DeLong of Anchorage, AK, Aaron Caskey of Shelby, Austin Caskey of Shelby, Abigail Caskey of Bucyrus; three great-grandsons Aiden, Carson and Grayson Robinson, one great-granddaughter Angela Prater and one sister Betty (Robert) Younger of FL.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband John Caskey on December 8, 1990; brother Sonny Rohrbaugh and sister Lou Younger.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at the First Presbyterian Church at 24 N Gamble St, Shelby, OH 44875. Her grandson, Reverend James Robinson, will officiate with interment held in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby.  Friends may call at the Church from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, two hours prior to the service, Wednesday. A luncheon will follow the funeral at the United Church of Christ Fellowship Hall at 23 Church St. in Shelby.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorials be made in the form of donations, in care of Barkdull Funeral Home to help defray funeral costs.
