Matt R. Dick

Matt R. Dick, age 45,  resident of Shelby died Friday April 22, 2016 at his home.  Born  October 23, 1970 to James R. and Doris A. (Alford) Dick  he had been a Shelby resident the majority of his life. Matt was a 1989 graduate of Shelby High School and had attended Ohio State University.  He was formerly employed with  Newman Tech and  previously was employed with Home Depot while residing in Umatilla, Florida.  

Matt had a humorous nature and loved to play practical jokes. He enjoyed fishing, hunting,camping and riding dirt bikes. 

Survivors include one son Garrett  Cooke of Williston, Fla.; his father Jim Dick of Shelby; one sister Jamie (Brad) Eberts of Uniontown, OH; one brother Craig Dick of Apopka, Fla. nieces, nephews and other relatives.  Matt will be missed dearly by his many friends in Ohio & Florida.

He was preceded in death by his mother Doris Dick; one brother Doug Dick and one sister Becky Rosby. 

A memorial service will be held 10:00 AM Saturday May 7, 2016 at the Barkdull Funeral Home and Crematory in Shelby. Pastor Ed Grosko will officiate with interment in Oakland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial expressions may be made to Hospice of NCO, 1050 Dauch Dr., Ashland, Ohio 44805.
