February 4, 1948 ~ May 26, 2017 (age 69) 69 Years Old

Nancy L. "Sunni" Cox Dollinger age 69 and resident of Gulf Breeze, Florida, died Friday, May 26, 2017 at the James Cancer Hospital in Columbus Ohio.

Born February 4, 1948 in Shelby, OH to Milford and Imogene (Light) Cox, she had been a Florida resident since 1982 after she retired from her impressive retail career.
Sunni was a 1970 graduate of the Ohio State University where she received her Bachelors degree in English, a degree which came in handy as she tutored writing skills for her children and their friends many years later.

She was employed by the Limited Inc. Stores for 17 years, a company she helped build, retiring at the age of 37 as a district manager. Sunni had an unparalleled attention to detail and sharp eye for design. She was a true trail blazer as one of the first female managers for the Limited earning many accolades during her career including regional manager of the year in 1981, 82, 83, 84, 85, and 86. Her position led her all over the country including Indiana, New York, Michigan, Florida, and Pennsylvania.
She was a member of the Tri Delta Sorority, the Shelby Eagles Club, and was also a participant in girls state.

Sunni spent every summer of her life in Michigan where she cultivated and shared her love for her family. She had a love for the water and outdoors that was clear to all who made it up to her house in Hessel.

Sunni is survived by her beloved children John Dollinger of Ft. Lauderdale, FL,  Katie (Philip) Dollinger Adam of Houston, TX, Perry (Cara) Dollinger of Tallahassee, FL, Brenda (Jonathan) Kaye of Plantation, FL; two grandchildren Rhett and Kade Dollinger; former husband Barry Dollinger of Coral Springs, FL; siblings Terry (Phyllis) Cox of Bevercreek, OH, and Sally (Jim) Messenger of Shelby, OH.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
