Robert L. Tolle

Robert L. Tolle, age 79, resident of Shelby died Friday July 22, 2016 at his home. Born February 4, 1937 in Olive Hill Kentucky to James W. and Losha (Tomlin) Tolle  he had been a Shelby resident since 1960.  He had worked in various trades including the railroad, the Growers Fertilizer Company and construction.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving during Korean War. Robert was a member of the Shelby V.F. W. post #291 and the Shelby Eagles Club. 

Robert loved  playing the guitar and singing with his friends in their country band.  He also enjoyed fishing, playing horseshoes and watching westerns.  
  
He is survived by his children Marlisa J. (Anthony) Drury and Antoinette "Toni" (Kenneth) Kidwell, Robert L. Tolle, Jr. and Tamera Gilbert all of Lawrenceburg, KY.; and Tonya Zornes of Arkansas; thirteen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; step children Dallas Barry Estep,  Bud Rhodes Estep, Jr.  and Trina (Bryan Smith) Estep, John Estep and Linda Newsome; numerous step grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives. 

He was preceded in death by his life partner of twenty eight years,  Maudie Estep; five brothers Jim and Zane Tolle, Bill, Joe and David Warner; four sisters Dorothy Honsperger, Betty Jimison, Bobbi Fiedler and Gail Luptom.  

Funeral services will be held 1:00PM Tuesday July 26, 2016 at the Barkdull Funeral Home and Crematory in Shelby. Rev. S.T. Adkins will officiate with interment in Oakland  Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 11:00 to 1:00PM.
