Ruth A. Viers

Ruth A. Viers, age 93, resident of Shelby died Sunday May 24, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family.

Born Ocotber 29, 1921 in Shelby to Rolland and Agnes M. (Hugenroth) Moore, she had been a lifelong Shelby resident. Ruth was a homemaker and was formerly employed with the Autocall Co. She was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. 

She is survived by three sons, Michael L. (Jean) Viers and David A. (Carla A.) Viers, all of Shelby, and Philip R. (Kathy) Viers III of Johnson City, TN, six grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, brother-in-law, Herald Viers of Shelby, and sister-in-law, Madona Magee of Topeka, KS; nieces, nephews and other relatives. 

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Philip R. Viers, Jr., three brothers, Joe, Tom and Bill Moore; three sisters, Teresa Smith, Kathleen Pittenger and Sister Mary Moore and one grandson, Adam M. Viers. 

Funeral services will be held 11:30 AM Wednesday, May 27, 2015 from the Barkdull Funeral Home in Shelby. Deacon Fred Stockmaster will officiate with interment in Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the Barkdulll Funeral Home Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers memorial expressions may be made to the Marvin Memorial Library, 29 W. Whitney Ave. Shelby, OH. 44875.
