Terry L Caris

Terry L. Caris age 73, resident of Crestline died Sunday May 14, 2017 in his home.

Born December 3, 1943 in Galion Ohio to Lester and Virginia (Pittman) Caris, he had been a Archer City, TX resident for the past 18 years before moving to Crestline recently.  Terry was a 1961 graduate of Galion High School and Veteran of the United States Air Force.  He had worked for NCR for 38 years, as the field engineer, working on store and bank computer systems across the United States.

Terry was a member of Sky Warn Storm Chasers and the Galion Moose Lodge.  He had been a Ham Radio Operator, call sign KC8CHK.

Terry was a musician. He had played piano, organ, guitar and many other instruments, playing in nursing homes and churches.  He was an avid golfer, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by two children, Chericce (Jason) Hinton and Mark (Candice) Caris both of Mansfield; five grandchildren Jared (Maranda) Beloat of Mt. Vernon, Santana Caris of Crestline, Ronnie (Cierra) Caris of Shelby, MJ Caris of Mansfield and Gracie Caris of Mansfield; four great-grandchildren Riley and Dylan Beloat and River and Elena Caris; one brother Dennis Caris of Crestline.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

As per request, funeral services and calling hours will not be observed. Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory in Shelby, Ohio is assisting the family with arrangements.
