Thelma "Katherine" Butcher

Thelma "Katherine" Butcher of Shelby died Wednesday morning, May 10, 2017 at OhioHealth Shelby. 
Born November 27, 1938 in Thelma Kentucky to Mason & Emma (Childers) Blanton, she has been a Shelby resident since 1960.

A homemaker, Katherine enjoyed gardening, loved Elvis and spending time with her grandkids.

She is survived by her son, Brad (Trena) Butcher of Shiloh; three grandchildren, Lauren, Chance and Braden Butcher; brother, Robert (Selene) Blanton of Thelma, KY; sister, Betty Carr of Tryon, NC; sister-in-law, Liz Blanton of Cynthiana, Ky and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Phillip R. Butcher in 2014; brother, David Blanton; three sisters, Fern Yount, Helen Stafford and Diane Meek.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday May 12, 2017 at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory. Rev Dr. Edna Stahl will officiate and interment will be held in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Shiloh. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00-2:00 PM.
