Bonny J. Layne, age 56, resident of Shelby died Wednesday, May 10, 2017 peacefully at her home.

She was born September 20, 1960 in Sandusky, Ohio to Julian and Janice (Meyers) Chill. Bonny had been a 1978 graduate of Perkins High School and obtained her cosmetology license from EHOVE upon graduation.  She had previously worked in retail and took great pride in everything she did.  

Bonny enjoyed cooking and looked forward to entertaining her friends and family often. She was very creative and enjoyed drawing, painting, and DIY projects. She was an avid reader and had been a fan of Steven King novels. She was the happiest when spending time outdoors in nature and tending to her flower and herb gardens. Bonny loved living her life to the fullest and was always the first to make you laugh. Above all, she treasured spending time with her family and loved ones, especially her grandson. She will be truly missed by all of those who were blessed to have known her.

She is survived by her lifelong partner Ernest Luna, daughter Amber Lozano of Ontario, and grandson Omar Lozano; two sisters, Peg (Chill) Moll of Gibsonburg, OH, and Gayle (Chill) Ward of Texas; two brothers Ken Chill of Monroeville, and George Chill of Norwalk.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Steve and Gary Chill.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
