Byron Akers, 63, passed away at home on June 1, 2018
Byron was born on May 18, 1955 to Walter Eugene and Martha Louise (Eby) Akers. Byron graduated from Shelby Senior High School Class of 1973.
He was a life long area resident spending most of his life in Plymouth
He loved his job at Arcelor Mittal where he was employed for over 40 years. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening,hot rods and trucks. He was proud of his newly purchased truck. In his spare time he liked spending time shooting guns, watching movies, and going to the Casino with friends.
Survivors include Nancy (Tom) Nickel of Fremont, Bonnie (Jay) Huss of Shelby. He loved his nieces and nephews, Stephanie Tiell, Kevin (Lori) Snyder, Christopher (Jamie) Nickel,
Melanie (Tommy) Wagner, Eric (Timea) Huss, and Hilary (Todd) Lester along with his 12 great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Sharon (Waddles) Akers
A graveside service will be held in Greenlawn Cemetery of Plymouth on Saturday June 23, 2018 at 4 PM.
