Charles "Chick" Gordon Lysinger

Charles "Chick" Gordon Lysinger age 84, of Shelby died on Monday morning, June 12, 2017 peacefully at home.

He was born on September 28, 1932 to Gordon Hibler and Leona (Furney) Lysinger in Shelby.  Charles was a graduate of Shelby Senior High School, class of 1950. He worked as a bricklayer for Studer Masonry, retiring on December 30, 1994. Charles proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW and the Bricklayers Union. He enjoyed gardening, loved watching the Ohio State Buckeyes and always loved to have a few cold ones while sharing some laughs with friends and family.

Charles is survived by his children, Kevin (Becky) Lysinger of Shelby, Anne McFarland of Mansfield, Scott (Ginny) Lysinger of VA; grandchildren, Jason (Eva), Sarah, Daniel, Nathan, Lillia, and Hannah Lysinger; great grandson Nico Lysinger, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, William, Richard, and Jack Lysinger; former wife Patricia A. Lysinger and son, Charles E. Lysinger.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Monday June 19, 2017 at Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory. A clergy from St. Peter's Church will officiate with interment in Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Cemetery where military honors will be provided by Richland County Joint Burial Squad. Friends may call on Sunday from 4-7 PM at Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory.  

Memorials contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio.
