Cheryl D Dent

Cheryl D. Dent, age 74, passed away Monday, November 25, 2019 in her home with family  at her side. 

Born March 24, 1945 in Galion, Ohio to Norbert & Alberta (Foreman) Ehrman, she has been a Crestline resident since 1965. Cheryl graduated from Colonel Crawford High School and then received her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from NCSC in 1987. She was employed with Mansfield Correctional Institute for 12 years prior to that she was in the home health care industry. 

She was a member of Crossroads Church in Mansfield. She enjoyed antiques, gardening, biking, being outside and spending time with her grandchildren.

 Every day was enveloped by her eccentric personality, honest sense of humor, and headstrong will. Hers was a spirit of dedication and devotion to family above all else. Nothing said this more than her ability to raise her children. No matter the strains placed upon her, she did it for them and their wellbeing. Life was made a great deal more complete by her choices and her presence. 

She is survived by her daughter, Tira (Steve) Stima of Crestline, and son, Chad (Denise) Clary of Ontario; grandchildren, David Clary, Tasha Dent, Garrison Stima, Adrian Clary and Taylor Clary; one great-granddaughter, Alexa Clary; brother, Del (Karen) Ehrman of Galion, and sister, Brenda Scott of Galion; aunt Gloria of Crestline; various nieces, nephews, and other relatives. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Kaz Dent, and two sisters, Karen Goodheart and Mona Bowser. 

There will not be any calling hours or funeral services held. Barkdull Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

A commemoration of her life will be held on Saturday, December 14th at 11:00am, at Faith Community Church in Crestline, Ohio.
