Clara May Glower, age 88, died Thursday evening June 7, 2018 at the Crestwood Care Center in Shelby.
Born September 12, 1929 in Huron County to Logan W. & Minnie Mae (Stevens) Capelle, she has been a Shelby resident for the last 18 years.
Clara was a homemaker and a member of the Tiro United Methodist Church. She enjoyed sightseeing in the car and shopping.
She is survived by two sons, Richard (Rhonda) Glower Jr. of Tiro and Edward Glower of Shelby; two daughters, Sally (Nick) Nedolast of Plymouth and Margaret (Dan) Mapes of Mansfield; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and other relatives; and special friend Dwight Hall of Shelby.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Richard Glower Sr.; daughter, Connie Hunter; brothers Spike and George Capelle and sister, Kathryn Bentley.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Monday June 11, 2018 at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory with interment held in Vernon Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 PM.
