Cledith Delean McKinney

Cledith Delean McKinney, age 83, died Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Ohio Health Mansfield Hospital.

Born June 5, 1935 in Kentucky to Clifton Hayes and Estell Johnson she moved to Shelby in 1953 moving to Mt. Sterling , KY in 2016. She was formerly employed as a bus driver for the Plymouth and Shiloh school system.  

Cledith enjoyed her flowers, gardening, cooking and canning. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.  

Survivors include two daughters, Pam (Dick) Baker and Peggy (Mike) Messer both of Shelby; four grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; three brothers Donald (Evelyn) Hayes of Mt. Sterling, KY, Charles Saunders of Morehead, KY and Sonny Telfard of TX; one sister Jeri Eberhardt of Oklahoma; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. 

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edison McKinney, one son Mark Lewis; one brother, Ralph Hayes and one sister Vera Linsay.

Friends may call at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory in Shelby Monday, February 25, 2019 from 12:00 to 1:00 PM. Funeral services will be held immediately following at 1:00 PM. Dr. Reverend Edna Stahl will officiate with interment in Mt. Hope, Shiloh Cemetery.
