Dale A. Davies

Dale Allen Davies age 60, resident of Shelby died Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Ohio Health Hospital in  Mansfield.

Born August 8, 1957 in Willard to Earl and Jacuelyne (Gertz) Davies, he has been a life long Shelby resident. A 1975 graduate of Plymouth High School, Dale had worked in sales for Quality Saw & Tool in Mansfield for many years.

He was a member of the Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Shelby and the Knights of Columbus Council #1968.  Dale had a great love for wood working and enjoyed making cabinets for friends and family. He also played golf, and was fond of camping and fishing.

Dale is survived by his wife Donna (Hoak) Davies, whom he married June 9, 1979; two sons Don (Kate) Davies, Joe (Kristy) Davies both of Shelby; one grand daughter Cora Davies and one grand daughter on the way; six siblings, Kathy (Cliff Anderson) Davies of Rushville, OH, Pam Copper of Bucyrus, his twin Gale (Jay) Adams of Shiloh, Kim (Jim) Vess of Worthington, Brenda (Dave) Evans of Galena and Brad (Barb) Davies of Crestline; mother Jacuelyne Davies of Shelby; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. 

In addition to his father Earl Davies, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Bob Copper, father-in-law and mother-in-law Don and Delores Hoak.

Friends may call at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory in Shelby, Sunday, January 7, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with a prayer service at 7:00PM. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday from the funeral home. Father Chris Mileski will officiate with interment held in the Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Catholic School at 29 West St, Shelby, OH 44875.
