Darlene Polles

Darlene M. Polles, age 70, died Monday, August 27, 2019 at Ohio Health Mansfield Hospital. 

Born on January 29, 1949 in Spokane, Washington to Merle Cameron and Vivian Grace (Schalow) Fish, she was a Shelby resident since 1971. She was a 1967 graduate of Shadle Park High School in Spokane, WA. She was employed at Shelby Business Forms before changing to Shelby Insurance Co. and after which continued working in the insurance industry until her retirement in 2009. When the JayCee club became co-ed, Dar was the first woman enrolled into the Shelby JayCees. She loved her family and spending time with them was of the utmost importance.  

She is survived by her beloved husband Mick Polles, whom she wed on June 3, 1969; son Jason Polles of Shelby; daughter Melissa (Brent) Spence of Sparta, OH; three grandchildren, Kevin (Ali) Polles and Henry and Rowan Spence; one great-grandson Ezra Polles; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Joanne Howard.

Per Darlene's wishes there will be no funeral service. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Barkdull Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
