Earl T. McKenzie, age 90, resident of Shelby passed away on June 29, 2018 at Ohio Health Mansfield.
He was born October 8, 1927 in Shelby to Van and Virgie (Charles) McKenzie. Earl has been a lifelong resident of Shelby, only leaving home to serve his country in the United States Army. Earl worked locally for Friebel Masonry and helped build the Shelby City Schools. He was a member of the VFW and the Eagles. Building and fiddling with things was a passion of Earls and in his spare time he would do crossword puzzles and garden.
Surviving is his significant other Tracy Wagoner, who has been by his side for 10 years; brothers Robert and John McKenzie; sister Bonnie Potts; many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his son Wayne McKenzie, sisters Hazel Fike and Irene Perry; and brother Doug McKenzie.
Friends may call at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 from 1:00-2:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM. Pastor Jeff Mills will officiate.
