Elizabeth A Garn

Elizabeth "Candy" A. Garn age 63, resident of Mansfield, went to be with our Lord and Savior Friday, October 6, 2017 at Ohio Health Mansfield Hospital.

Born February 19, 1954 in Shelby to Oliver and Ella (Clagg) Patrick, she had been a Shelby resident until moving to Mansfield after graduating. Elizabeth, who is better known as Candy, because of her very sweet nature and bubbly personality, was always seen wearing an infectious smile. Candy was a faithful and active member of the Masters Hand Church of God in Castalia. She loved butterflies and Angels. Her newest passion was staying in Amish county and driving for them.  She was dedicated to helping others and volunteering her time to various service programs, such as soup kitchens, food pantry, and anyone in need. Everything she did was to glorify God. Most of all she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her mother, two children Jeromie (Katie) Garn of Ontario and Makala (David) Weaver of Mansfield; five grandchildren, Morgan Weaver, Dylan Weaver, Lily Garn, Molly Weaver, Cory Garn; six siblings, Fred ( Marianne Schaefer) Patrick of Mansfield, Pastor Ben (Vonda) Patrick of Milan, Roy (Karen Preble) Patrick of Mansfield, Ralph (Janet Eldridge) Patrick of Shiloh, Lawrence (Nadine) Patrick of Lexington, Andy (Judy) Patrick of Mansfield; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her infant sister Grace Elaine Patrick.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, October 12, 2017 at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory in Shelby. Elizabeth’s brother, Pastor Ben Patrick, will officiate with interment held at Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven.  Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.

In place of flowers contributions can be made in the form of a donation to the family to help defray funeral expenses.
