Greg Norman age 55, resident of Shelby, died unexpectedly in his home, Sunday morning, July 14, 2019.
Born November 28, 1963 to Grady and Irean (Nickles) Norman, he had been a Shelby resident the majority of his life. A 1982 graduate of Clyde High School, Greg had been a Tube Mill Operator at Phillips Manufacturing for 26 years.
Greg was a member of the Shelby FOE #763 and an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Ohio State Buckeyes football fan. He had enjoyed watching NASCAR and listening to rock music, especially Mötley Crüe. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his five children, Amanda Norman of Shelby, Jason (Nikki) Norman of Ontario, Rebekah (Austin) Elliott of Shelby, Brooke (Keegan) McQuate of Boise, ID, Tabitha Norman of Plymouth; nine grandchildren, Isa, Jazmine, Zeke, Sida, Kaydence, Aubri, Alexis, Kinsley, and KK; three siblings, Tina (Scott) Sherer of Bradner, OH, Rodney Norman of IN, Kevin Norman of Fremont, OH; Step-mother Carol Norman of Bettsville, OH; three step-brothers Donald (Kim) Young of Bettsville, OH, Eric Mossefin of Clyde and Marc (Heather) Mossefin of Clyde; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Josh Norman in 2018 and best friend James "Fuzzy" Legg.
Friends are invited to the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory in their Pittsburgh Steelers gear Thursday, July 18, 2019 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM. A funeral service will immediately follow at 5:00 PM. Pastor Richard Hurles will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Greg's grandchildren, in care of the Norman family.
