James Frederick Burdge

James Frederick Burdge, age 60, resident of Shelby passed away Sunday, July 23, 2017 in his home.

Born March 1, 1957 in Shelby to the late Robert Burdge and Mary (Derow) Blocher. He graduated from Shelby Senior High School, class of 1975. Jimmy spent the majority of his life in Ft. Collins, Colorado and had always claimed to be a mountain man. He was a proud member of the Ft. Collins American Legion, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing.  Jimmy loved his Colorado friends as well his family in Shelby. He will be remembered for being a wonderful, sweet and gentle man with a heart of gold.

Survivors include his two brothers, Brad (Anne) Burdge of Gilbert, AZ and Bill (Jodie) Burdge of Shelby; sister-in-law, Jessica Burdge of  Bradenton, FL; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Michael of Bradenton, and step father George Blocher.

Funeral Services will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made in the form of donation to Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory to help defray funeral expenses.
