James C. Widdig Jr.

James "Jimmy" C. Widdig Jr., age 56, resident  of Shelby died Monday January 15, 2018 at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
Born April 27, 1961 in Portsmouth, Ohio to James Crandel & Mary Jo (Stapleton) Widdig, Sr., he had been a Shelby resident the majority of his life.
Jim was a 1980 graduate of Shelby High School and had attended the Ohio State University. He was employed at Empire Detroit Steel and was a member of the United Steelworkers Union Local 169. Jim loved to play golf, enjoyed fishing and hunting and watching the Cincinnati Bengals.

He is survived by his daughter, Joelle M. (David) Cunningham of Ontario; one son, Nicholas Roberts  of Shiloh; his parents, James Crandel & Mary Jo (Stapleton) Widdig, Sr.; two grandchildren, David Cunningham III and Lincoln Cunningham; three sisters, Diana Williams, Lynn (Stan) Bivens and Debbie Vournazos, all of Shelby  and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his brother-in-law Steve Williams and two nephews.

Memorial funeral services will be held 5:45 P.M. Friday January 19, 2018 from the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory in Shelby. Reverend Eddie Douglas will officiate.
