Janet Yohn, age 85, resident of Shelby died Tuesday evening December 11, 2018 at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Ashland. She was the daughter of the late Elton & Eloise (Longnecker) Robertson. She was a 1951 graduate of Plymouth High School.
Janet was a member of the Lutheran Church in Plymouth and the Presbyterian Church in Shelby and Willard. Janet enjoyed life and especially music and people. She could and would converse with anyone anywhere at any time about any subject. She not only raised 5 children but later on worked at the K&H Drug store in Willard and owned and operated a laundromat with her husband in Panama City, FL. Janet also loved to read, arts & crafts, especially knitting and crocheting and she loved to sing and dance.
Janet is survived by her husband, Richard Yohn, whom she married May 9, 1952; her children, Jenifer (Jake) Merle of Mansfield, Richard (Mary Yohn Jr. of Mansfield, Brenda (Bill) Tucker of Shiloh, Jackie (Richard) Bouchard of Panama City, FL and Robbie Yohn of Columbus; nine grandchildren, Brian, Chris and Matt Bistline, Emily Ratterree, Kaitlin Tucker and Joshua, Jason, Jacob and Shawna Brown; twelve great grandchildren, Justin & Alexis Bistline, Alexis Nelson, Jasper, Jase, Josh and Josiah Brown, Olivia Kittrell, Aaliyah and Ivy Bistline and Raeghen and Preston Bistline; one great great grandchild, Xavier Bistline; sister, Mary (John) Fetters of Columbus and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory on Friday from 1:00-3:00 PM. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM conducted by Pastor Julie Thoms. In lieu of flowers memorial expressions may be made to the donors choice.
