Jeanene Workman, age 81, resident of Shelby, died Monday, March 19, 2018 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.
Born September 20, 1936 in Willard to Carl and Eleanor (Snyder) Harriman, she had been a Shelby resident for the majority of her life. Jeanene graduated from Willard High School. She had provided childcare for many families over the years. Jeanene was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Shelby and various mother's clubs. She enjoyed listening to music, and being in the company of friends and family.
She is survived by her two daughters Laurie (Denny) Stima of Howell, MI and Shelley (Jackson) Phillips of Crestline; three grandchildren Mike (Jen) Griffith, Brandi (Brian) Ruhe and Kevin (Megan) Phillips; eight great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Wayne Workman in 2012 and sister Diane Lindsey.
Friends may call at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory from 4:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, March 22, 2018. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Friday at 11:00 AM. Pastor Russel Yoak will officiate with interment held in Oakland Cemetery, Shelby.
