We are cousins and as children we played with Joe and Mike at their home in Mt. Gilead. We remember many good dinners at their home. Joe was easy to get along with and lots of fun. Sorry to hear of his passing.

Mike and Marlene: Sorry to hear about Joe passing away. I used to see Joe at Geyer's Market and we always had some BS to talk about. Hadn't see him for a while. I would like to express my sympathies to both of you and your families in his passing.

Joe and I went all the way back to first grade. He was a friend, always. Only a few will understand the fun we had playing "sock basketball" in the dining room, or all the times we "tried" to camp in the backyard (until his asthma took over), or lighting up Hava-Tampa Cigars in Staley's "clubhouse." And, of course, our "Lightning Riders" bicycle club ... (Joe was President.) Thank you Joe, for all of our great memories.

Please accept my heartfelt sympathy for the loss of your loved one, Joe. May you find comfort in the words found at Acts 24:15, where God promises to bring back to life those we have lost in death by means of a resurrection. In the future He will also eliminate our enemy, death. (Isaiah 25:8) This gives us the wonderful hope of being reunited with our loved ones, forever. Until then, I hope the memories of Joe and these promises from God comfort you in the days to come.
