Lanny Brown

Lanny J.  Brown age 66 of Shelby Ohio passed away Friday, May 31, 2019, at Mansfield Ohio Health. 

He was born July 19, 1952 in Morehead, KY to Lester and Icey Brown. Lanny was a 1971 graduate Shelby High School and had been employed with Carton Service retiring in 2008 following 33 years of service. 

Lanny was a member at Tiro Baptist Church. Lanny was an avid Browns fan who had a passion for working outside, especially with his lawnmowers. He enjoyed spending time watching television with his dog, Mitsy. 

He is survived by his beloved wife Fay Brown and his only son Chad Brown (Linda Long); two brothers Gary Brown and Steve Brown of Shelby Ohio and six sisters Darlene Grew, Roberta and Larry Gayheart, Tammy and Jake Sexton, Brenda Backensto, and Tanya Leser of Shelby Ohio and Jeanetta Muse of Flemingsburg Kentucky; one brother and sister-in-law James and Janet Blevins, sister in law Carol McClain along with many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Lester and Icey Brown, sisters Donna Brown Reynolds, Charlotte Gayheart, and Phyllis Brown; father in law Virgil McClain (Verna McClain) and mother-in-law Minnie McClain. 

Friends may call Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory in Shelby Wednesday, June 5th  from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm, with the funeral services directly following at 12:00 PM.
