Luana J Gregory

Luana J. Gregory, age 79 of Lexington died Saturday March 25, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Born October 27, 1937 in Mansfield to William Kenneth Sr and Nixola (Calhoon) Au, Luana had been a lifelong area resident.

A 1955 Union High School graduate, Luana had gone on to receive her Associates Degree in Nursing from NCTC in 1987. Luana had worked as a nurse at Crestline Hospital until retiring in 2002. She was a unique crafter, enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, crocheting, embroidering, taking scenic drives, listening to music, and most of all spending quality time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Lori (Mike) Hicks of Lexington, Brian (Lisa) Gregory of Croton, Bill (Cheryl) Gregory of Shelby; five grandchildren, Heather (David) Eicher, Jennifer (Zach) Nichols, Lisa (Allen Bennett) Gregory, Elizabeth, and Trenton Gregory;12  great-grandchildren, Kaleb and Porter Nichols, Harper Close, Brent, Venessa, Rebekah, and Dakota Eicher, Landen and Ayden Perry, Ethan, Lilah, and Olivia Bennett; brother, Jack (Lois) Au of Carrolton, OH; sister, Jenne (Sanford) Williams of North Ft. Meyers, FL; sister-in-law, Rosealene Au of Mansfield; aunt, Lona (Don) Perry of Springfield, OH; uncle, Dale Calhoon of Mansfield; numerous nieces nephews and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Elmer Gregory; son, Dean Raymond; granddaughter, Michelle Hicks; brother, William Kenneth Au Jr. and sister Judy Pearl Au.

A Celebration of Life for Luana will be held Saturday, April 8th 2:00-5:00 PM at the Deer Ridge Event Center at 900 Comfort Plaza Dr, Bellville, OH 44813.

In lieu of flowers memorial expressions may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation at 26 Broadway, 14th Floor New York, NY 10004.
