Lucille Johnson, age 98, resident of Shelby died Thursday, May 17, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born February 5, 1920 in Carter County, KY to John E. & Annie (Fraley) Jones, she had been a Mansfield/Shelby resident the majority of her life. Lucille had worked for Mansfield Plating for 33 years and then she had worked for Design Metal Products for ten years. She attended Crossroads Church and enjoyed working in the yard and tending to her flowers.
She is survived by her daughter, Wilma (Don) McKinney of Shelby; one granddaughter, Vicki (Dean) Blankenship of Niota TN; one grandson, Scott (Jean) McKinney; four great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren; one sister, Goldie Lambert of Mansfield, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arlie Johnson in 1977, two sisters, Dorothy Davis and Rosa Mae Futrell and one great grandson, Joshua Merritt.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Saturday May 19, 2018 at the Barkdull Funeral Home with Rev. Steven Schag officiating. Interment will be held in Oakland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 10:00AM~11:00AM. Memorial expressions may be made to Ohio Health Hospice or the donor's Choice.
