Mark D. Castle

Mark D. Castle age 55, resident of Columbus died Monday, September 30, 2019 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.

Born July 19, 1964 in Shelby to Lon D. and Wilma J. (Risner) Castle, he had been a Columbus resident for the majority of his life. A 1982 graduate of Shelby High School, he had attended Pioneer Joint Vocational School for Horticulture and was a veteran of the United States Army. Mark worked in California with IBM, transferring to Columbus and most recently was employed at Chase Bank. He was a big sports fan who enjoyed watching football and attending horse racing at the Little Brown Jug.  Mark loved  spending time with his family and socializing with his many friends. 

He is survived by his son Jacob Castle of Mount Vernon and sister Rhonda (Perry) Coffman of Shelby, one niece and nephew.  

He was preceded in death by his parents. 

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM  Friday, October 4, 2019 at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory, Pastor James Robinson will officiate with interment in Mt. Hope Cemetery.  Friends may call the funeral home on Thursday, October 3, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
