Mary C. "Connie" Fagan, age 84, former resident of Shelby died Tuesday November 13, 2018 in Wyandot Memorial Hospital in Upper Sandusky.
Born October 12, 1934 in Mansfield to Pedro and Jessie (Campo) Martin she had been a Shelby resident since 1954 moving to Upper Sandusky in 2016. Connie had been employed with Miami Systems in Shelby for many years retiring in 1997 and was formerly employed as a telephone operator with the Northern Ohio Telephone Company in Galion.
She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, American Legion Post #326 Ladies Auxiliary; V.F.W. Post #291 Ladies Auxiliary and the Shelby Moose Lodge Ladies Auxiliary. Mary loved shopping, camping and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her son, Mark (Elaine) Fagan of Shelby; one daughter Marsha Fagan Huffman of Upper Sandusky, Ohio; three grandchildren, Blake and Holly Spicer both of Upper Sandusky and CJ Fagan of Shelby; one great grandson Colson Spicer; two brothers, Jack (Lucy) Martin of Elizabeth City, NC., and Peter Martin of Lucas; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bennie J. Fagan, in 2016; her son, Bennie J. Fagan Jr. in 1955; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles (Wilma) Martin and William (Clara) Martin.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Saturday November 17, 2018 at the Barkdull Funeral Home and Crematory in Shelby. Reverend Dr. Edna Stahl will officiate with interment in Oakland cemetery.
