Virginia Markwell-Albright, age 94, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Crestwood Care Center in Shelby with family by her side.
Born September 13, 1923 in Herndon, WV, to Perry and Hessie (Lewis) Hall she had been a Shelby resident the majority of her life. A 1942 graduate of Shelby High School, she was employed for 32 years with UFORMA - Miami Systems, retiring in 1989.
She was a member of the VFW Post #291 Women's Auxiliary and attended Taylortown Community Church.
Survivors include one son, Dennis (Pat) Markwell of Shelby; five grandchildren, Amy, Jeff, Todd, Lee, and Jennifer; ten great-grandchildren; four sisters, Helen (Kent) Eyler of Shelby; Lucille Van Loo of Plymouth; Lois (James) Miller of Clarksville, TN; and Beulah "Boots" Ream of Mansfield; nieces; nephews and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Clyde Markwell; second husband, John Albright; daughter, Joyce Riddle; two brothers and sister-in-laws, Homer (Eleanor) Hall and Perry, Jr. (Louis) Hall, Robert Hall; one sister and brother-in-law, Pauline (Mason) Markwell; two infant brothers, one infant sister; sister-in-law Carmella Cook and brother-in-law John Van Loo.
Friends may call at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory on Friday May 18, 2018 from 10:00-12:00 PM. A funeral service will be at 12:00 PM. Chaplain Randy Barlow with Hospice of North Central Ohio will officiate with internment at Oakland Cemetery.
