Wilma Jean Castle, age 78, resident of Shelby passed away Friday, January 11, 2019 at Crestwood Care Center of Shelby with her loving family by her side.
Born February 16, 1940 in Salyersville, Kentucky to Hargis and Shirley Mae (Davis) Risner, she had been a Shelby resident the majority of her life. Wilma was a homemaker, loving to watch boxing, golf, baseball, the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns play. She also enjoyed soap operas and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her son, Mark Castle of Columbus; daughter, Rhonda (Perry) Coffman of Shelby, grandchildren, Tiffany (Jason) Smith of Shelby, Tyler (Laura) Winkelman of Bucyrus, Jacob Castle of Columbus; great-grandchildren, Landon McCray, Addison Nockivich; sisters, Linda Fulton of Shelby, Anna Barnett of Coshocton, Jewlene (Raymond) Fidler of Shelby; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Lon Douglas Castle, whom she wed November 6, 1961; sisters, Cleo Collins and Lina Rank.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Wilma to Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory at P.O. Box 644 Shelby, Ohio 44875 to help defray funeral expenses.
Funeral services will be held at a later date.
