Airleen Hickman Obituary Airleen Hickman, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at the age of 81, with her devoted husband of 42 years, Randall Hickman by her side.
Born on June 9, 1944, Airleen lived a life filled with love, strength and selfless devotion to her family. She found immense joy in spending time with her children and played a cherished role in the lives of her grandchildren, helping to raise them with kindness, warmth and unwavering support.
Airleen had a deep and abiding love for Christ, which guided every aspect of her life. Her faith was the foundation of her strength and compassion, and she shared that faith through her kindness, encouragement and the way she served those around her. She was a woman of prayer, grace, and quiet wisdom, who trusted in the Lord through every season.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sonya, her sister, May, brother-in-law Roy, her parents, foster parents, mother-in-law and father-in-law, and numerous siblings. Though she experienced great loss, she carried her love for each of them in her heart throughout her life.
Airleen is survived by her loving husband, Randall, whom she married on Septmeber 21, 1982; her sons: Andrew (Joslyn) and David; her stepchildren, Reid and Rachel; and numerous grandchildren, who were the light of her life and numerous great grandchildren. Her family was the center of her world, and she leaves behind a legacy of faith, compassion, resilience, and deep-rooted love that will continue to live on through them.
Airleens spirit, unwavering faith and nurturing heart left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Whether she was sharing stories, offering a listening ear or simply being present, her love was constant and unconditional.
She will deeply be missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who loved her.
Friends and family may come to honor her life from 11am to 1pm on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory in Shelby, Ohio. A funeral service will follow starting at 1pm at the funeral home with Pastor Mike Workman officiating. A burial will follow the funeral service at Greenwood Cemetery in Willard, Ohio.
