Alexander Murray Obituary
Alexander William Murray, 60, of Shelby, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 4, 2022, surrounded by his loving family at Ohio Health Mansfield Hospital.
Alex was born in Mansfield to Alexander and Penny (Milligan) Murray on April 27, 1961 and was a lifelong Shelby resident. He attended Shelby High School graduating with the class of 1979, where he created long lasting friendships with many members of his class. He worked in his father's construction company as a young man. Alex also worked at Tech Form Industries before they closed, in the quality control department. He then pursued his college education at North Central State College, getting his degree in Bio-Med and worked for MedCentral Health Systems.
Alex enjoyed spending time with his family, playing cards, golfing, watching the Cleveland Browns with his friends, and tinkering with electronics. He loved making hot wings and baking anything sweet! He enjoyed spending his day with his beloved dog, who he named, Charles Bronson. He will be fondly remembered by many for his quick wit and sense of humor.
Alex is survived by his wife of 35 years, Dawn (Dickson) Murray, who he wed on March 7, 1986, of Shelby, OH. His daughter, Samantha (Matt) and his recent pride and joy, grandson Owen of Eustis, FL; brothers, Mike (Carrie), Jeff (Amy) nephews Grayson (Lori), Ben, Dan and niece Devon Murray, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; in-laws, Linda (Robert) Duncan; Melissa (Todd) Kaple and their children Logan and Madison, Jeremiah Dickson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Vernon and Jean Milligan, and paternal grandparents, Alexander and Catherine Murray and father-in-law David Dickson.
A celebration of life will be conducted at a later date.
