Allie Brown Obituary Allie L Brown, Jr., age 94, Died Saturday, April 30, 2022, at HCA Houston Healthcare in Conroe, TX., surrounding by his loving family. Born April 4, 1928, in Shelby to the late Allie L. and Flo Marie (Johnson) Brown Sr. He had been a Shelby resident much of his life before moving to Canal Winchester, OH in 2009 and then to Conroe, TX in 2020. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy where he served during WWII in the Asiatic-Pacific theater. Allie was employed for 41 years with Westinghouse where he was a member of the I.U.E. and served as a union steward for 30 years. Allie enjoyed bowling and was an avid fan of Ohio State and Cleveland professional sports. Allie is survived by daughter, Jane Brown of Conroe, TX, son Donald (Peggy) Brown of Conroe, TX; daughter-in-law Cathy Brown of Columbus, OH; six grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren and other loved relatives. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years Viola (Oliver) Brown; infant son Ronald; son Gary; three brothers Talmadge, Ralph, and Elwood Brown; sister Nadine June Snyder and his parents. Visitation will be held at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory on Saturday, May 7, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, with a funeral service immediately following at 11:00 AM. Reverend Jeffrey Croft will be officiating. Interment will take place at Oakland Cemetery in Shelby with full Military Honors. Instead of flowers, family has requested memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75231.
