Barbara "Katy" Kaye Watts, age 83, of Galion, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Katy was born on August 13, 1942, in Logan, West Virginia, to the late Orville Clyde and Irene (Mooney) McDonald. Throughout her early years, she worked at various restaurants, cared for neighborhood children, and devoted herself wholeheartedly to raising her son, Darren, and her triplet daughters, Krista, Kim, and Karen. She attended Grace Point Church in Galion, Ohio. Katy enjoyed spending her time doing puzzles, solving puzzle books, and playing BINGO. She also cherished listening to the music of Conway Twitty and Elvis Presley.

Katy’s memory will be treasured by her son, Darren Watts of Mansfield, Ohio; her triplet daughters, Krista (Matt) Porter, Kim (John) Griffith, and Karen (Andy) Tilley, all of Galion, Ohio; her grandchildren Kaitlyn (Stephen) Phillips, Tiffany (Thomas) Fox, Charlotte Watts, Alex Tilley, Jarrett Griffith, Ryan Watts, and Alivia Porter; and her great-grandchildren Zoey Fox, Reagan Fox, Lincoln Fox, and Kelsey Phillips. She is also lovingly remembered by her siblings, Jim McDonald of Sarasota, Florida, and Jeannie Osburn of Blountville, Tennessee, along with other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Frederick C. Watts, whom she married on December 7, 1960, and her sister Patty Moore.

Family and friends are invited to honor Katy’s life on Saturday, June 20, 2026. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Grace Point Church, located at 683 Portland Way N., Galion, Ohio 44833. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Paul Walter officiating. Interment will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Galion, Ohio.
