Bernice Jewell Obituary Bernice Marie Jewell, 94, of Broken Arrow, OK, died peacefully on Sunday, June 19th, 2022. Born March 25, 1928, in Hooppole, Illinois, to the late Robert and Lula (Harris) Pryor. Bernie, as she was known to family and friends, was a long-time resident of the Mansfield and Shelby area until 1986, before spending the next thirty-two years in Florida, mainly in St. Petersburg. She moved to Oklahoma in 2018, until her passing, to be near family. Bernie worked at Therm-O-Disc in Mansfield until her marriage to the late George Jewell in 1967. They enjoyed thirteen wonderful years until his death in 1980. After moving to Florida, Bernie started her own cleaning business, making numerous friends along the way. She is survived by her daughter Barbara (Bruce) Davis of Broken Arrow, OK, and Paul (Kathy) Jewell of Mason, OH; nine grandchildren, Jack, Matt, Kristen, Chad, Mandi, Mindy, Audrey, Nolan and Tommy; nine great-grandchildren; a brother Bernard and sister Belva both of Mansfield. In addition to her parents and loving husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Jack (Connie) Berry and daughter, Pamela (Mel) Kempf; and six siblings. A family memorial will be held in Oakland Cemetery on Saturday, August 13th at 9:30 a.m. Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of the donors choice.
