Brian Adkins Obituary Brian Jeffrey Adkins, age 54, died unexpectedly February 10, 2022, at his home in Shelby. Born July 10, 1967, to Terry and Judy (Castle) Adkins in Shelby, Brian was a lifelong area resident. He was a 1986 graduate of Plymouth High School. Brian will be remembered as a wonderful father and grandfather. In his early years he loved working on and tinkering with cars, trucks, go-carts, and dirt bikes. He had a knack for mechanics. Most recently he enjoyed attending drag races and went to the drag strip with his son and grandson. Other hobbies included going to auctions, wheeling and dealing, and watching Nascar. Above all, Brian's joy in life was being with his family and friends. He is survived by his father Terry (Dian) Adkins of Shelby; children Randall Adkins of Shelby, Amanda (Shane) Moran of Bellville, and Benjamin (Cabrina) Adkins of Shelby; grandchildren Bentley, Adley, Paxton, Lacey, Austin and Christian; siblings Tammy (Tony) Hainline, Todd (Brittainey) Adkins all of Shelby; as well as many other relatives. In addition to his mother Judy, he was preceded in death by his brother Timothy Adkins. Friends may visit the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory Sunday, February 20, 2022, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. A funeral service will be held Monday at 10:30 AM from the funeral home. Pastor James Robinson will officiate with interment at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh.
