Carl Weaver Obituary Carl Christopher Weaver, age 32, of Shelby, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at his home. Born January 17, 1992, in Olongapo, Philippines, to Christopher Weaver and MaryAnn (Gregorio) Bautista, he grew up in Shelby and graduated from Shelby High School in the class of 2011. Following graduation, Carl moved to Las Vegas to be closer to his family. He spent 10 years there before returning to Shelby in 2023. Carl was a natural born athlete showcasing his talent at a young age. He spent much of his youth honing in his wrestling skills with the encouragement and guidance of his father- even placing in the state wrestling meet. In high school, he was an integral part of his football and wrestling teams. He also enjoyed playing golf. Carl had a love for music and singing, frequenting many music festivals with his friends. He never met a stranger. His charismatic personality and loving nature were infectious and made people gravitate towards him. Carl radiated positive energy with a smile that would light up any room he was in. He was such a joy to be around. The loss of Carl will leave behind a void that cannot be filled, and he will truly be missed by all who were fortunate to have met him. Carl is survived by his mother, MaryAnn Bautista of Las Vegas, Nevada; his four siblings, CrisAnn (Juan Contreras) Bautista, CristiAnn Bautista, Michael Paloma and Angelina Paloma, all from Las Vegas, Nevada; niece and nephew, who lit up his world, Analise and Angel Contreras-Bautista; maternal grandmother, Melba Gregorio of the Philippines; uncles and aunts, Michael and Michelle Tiu of the Philippines, Susan (Mark) Bogner of Bellevue, Felicia (Bob Hair) Hutchenson of Connellsville, PA, John (Kandy) Weaver of Shelby; cousins, Jesse Hair, Kelly Frisch and Danielle Adkins; Billy Shulaw, Spencer Shulaw, Dominic Weaver and Dean Frisch, special family friend Loretta Jimenez; and numerous other relatives and close friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Christopher Weaver in 2023, and his paternal grandparents, John and Caroline Weaver. Friends may visit the family from 1:00 to 3:00 PM Saturday, November 16, 2024, at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory in Shelby. A funeral service will immediately follow at 3:00 PM with Pastor James Robinson officiating. In place of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in his memory to the family, to assist in funeral expenses.
