Carolyn Hall Obituary In Loving Memory of Carolyn Hall The Rose Still Blooms "A Rose once grew where all could see. Sheltered beside a garden wall. And, as the days passed swiftly by, it spread its branches, straight and tall. One day, a beam of light shone through a crevice that had opened wide. The rose bent gently towards its warmth then passed beyond to the other side. Now, you who deeply feel its loss, be comforted- the rose blooms there. Its beauty even greater now. Nurtured by Gods own loving care"- Author Unknown Carolyn Hall, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on June 2, 2024, due to an extended illness and is now in her eternal home wrapped in the loving arms of Jesus. Though she will be deeply missed by those whose lives she touched and the wonderful family she leaves behind, we also rejoice in celebrating a life well-lived; 50 fulfilling years of love with Elmer Hall, of whom she married on September 16th, 1965, adventure, family, and faith. There is no question Carolyns legacy will continue to live on in the hearts and minds of those she cherished most, within the stories they share and in the memories that can never be forgotten. Carolyn Hall, affectionately known as "Grannie", was born on March 8, 1946, to proud parents Joseph and Lela Patrick; having 10 sisters and 1 brother. Growing up as a young girl in Willard, Ohio, Carolyn developed a deep sense of adventure, inner strength and a thirst for knowledge that would remain with her all her life. As a teenager, Carolyn was highly intelligent, attending Willard High School. During these primitive years, she acquired a passion for reading, resulting in an ability to retain various dates, times, and impressive historical facts far beyond her years. This passion would one day lead her to fulfill her dream of becoming an author, writing the book, Does God Give Interviews? Carolyn was a night owl who spent hours reading countless biblical books supporting Jesus historical presence on earth. Until her last day, Carolyn shouted "Hallelujah", praising our Lord. Carolyn loved seeing the heavens on a starry night with her children. Simply put, she was one-of-a-kind; brilliant, articulate, kind-hearted, insightful, freethinking, inquisitive and hilarious, without ever meaning to be. She was fun, daring, a lover of the ocean and all things travel, a walking encyclopedia, and a huge rock and roll fan, specifically of The Rolling Stones and AC/DC. Carolyn was known for doing everything "big", from her hair to her jewelry, down to her larger-than-life personality. She was truly a force to be reckoned with! Yet despite all her accomplishments, arguably her greatest joy in life was being a mother. Sadly, Carolyn lost her first-born daughter, Lisa Jill, as an infant, but was later blessed to bring four more children into the world: Teddy, Mark, Penny, and Jon, of which she shared with her incredible husband of 50 years and love of her life, Elmer. Aside from being a devoted wife and mother, Carolyn was a dedicated grandmother, raising three of her granddaughters, Candiss, Izabella, and Cheyanne, as her own. She taught her children the importance of learning and uncovering truth, dreaming big, and shared her love of travel by taking her children all over the west and her grandchildren exploring throughout the eastern United States. Her ultimate getaway spot, though, was the sunny shores of Siesta Key, Florida. There, she relished the sensation of the velvety quartz sand underfoot. There, amongst the sea, she felt truly at peace. Carolyn will always be remembered for living life on the edge and the unwavering love she gave others. She was always ready for her next big adventure and longed to see all the wonderful places she read about, ancient Egypt and the Holy Land, especially. Though she is no longer with us, her rose will still bloom and her impact in this world will remain for generations to come. The family would like to express their gratitude to their friends, relatives, neighbors, and caretakers who have reached out to give their condolences, offered their time or a helping hand from the kindness of their hearts, and uplifting their spirits during this difficult time. Carolyn Hall is survived by her children: Mark Hall, Penny Hall, Jon Hall and wife, Michele; Grandchildren: Candiss Czado and husband Thomas, Caleb Hall and wife Amber, Cody Evans, Izabella McCauley and husband Devin, and Cheyanne McCallister; Great Grandchildren: Emma, Callie, and Riley Evans, Camden Czado, Juliya McCauley; Siblings: Wilma Bradley, Oma Hall, Jeanette (Irvin) Hall, Barbara (James) Issac, Judy Floyd, Brenda Volz and Kimberly Warren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews whom she shares wonderful memories with. In honoring her final wishes, she will be cremated at the Barkdull Funeral & Crematory in Shelby, OH, with a private ceremony held by the immediate family at Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, OH.
