Catherine 'Cathy' Gillooly Obituary Catherine 'Cathy' (Veard) Gillooly, age 87 died Monday, May 20, 2024 at The Waterford Assisting Living in Mansfield. Born June 16, 1936 in Allegheny, Pennsylvania to Arthur and Catherine (Timcho) Veard, she was a 1954 graduate of Carnegie High School. Cathy was a career minded woman and worked her way up the corporate ladder to become the executive at the Bell Telephone Company. She was passionate about her job, and was an excellent office administrative employee that excelled in her career. Cathy was a very talented artist. She had been chosen to have her painted ornaments displayed on the Christmas trees in the White House during the presidency of Bill Clinton and George Bush. Cathy also enjoyed dancing, especially going line dancing with her husband. Survivors include her sister Sarah Marsh; niece, Sharon (Kenny) Wagers; as well as many other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Emerson Gillooly, who died March 16, 2017; and her brother Russell Timco.
